I embarked on a journey to Bimini Island with two dear friends for the first time. It was my third visit to this enchanting place, the second for one of my friends and the first for the other. Now, you may wonder if we were eager to return. The answer is a resounding no.

Bimini Island is a captivating haven that exudes wild beauty, leaving you craving more time to explore its hidden treasures. Yes, you can drive around the island in under an hour, but trust me when I say a single day is not enough. There are countless “Points” to discover, including idyllic spots to take a dip, indulge in delicious cuisine, sip on a refreshing Kalik beer, and then venture to the following enchanting location.

Bimini Island

Let me explain the time constraints. When you arrive on a ferry between 11:30 am and 12 pm, you must go through immigration, disembark the vessel, and grab transportation to exit the port. If you rent a golf cart, you’ll need even more time. It’s already 1 pm or later when you begin exploring the island.

Upon arrival, one of my rituals is stopping by Joe’s Conch Salad to savor their mouthwatering dish, accompanied by a perfectly chilled Kalik beer. From there, it’s time for a dive into the crystal-clear waters. But alas, the day slips away like sand through your fingers.

By around 4:30 pm, you’ll need to return the golf cart you rented upon leaving the ferry, change out of your wet attire (if you’re like me), and prepare for the journey back to Miami. Yes, there’s a schedule to follow, including boarding the ferry for the return trip. Oh, the constraints of time!

The photo below is of a place that few people know about. There is a secret place to enter; when the tide is high, this stone path is covered, and if you look at someone walking from afar, it seems like the person is taking steps above the water.

This other photo is in a part of the beach right after Luna Beach. The last time I went, the condominium was still open, and you could go to the end of the beach, not anymore 🙁

There’s no shortage of places for me to show you here; I know the Island inside out, including the other side, which you can only get to by boat or ferry; look at the photo below.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I understand that not everyone can stay overnight due to various reasons. Perhaps hotel stay costs are prohibitive, or you can only visit with your spouse or friends during the day. Maybe you find it challenging to arrange childcare and can only enjoy a day trip. Well, fear not, dear readers, for I have a solution for you.

But wait, before I reveal the secret, let me address a playful jest in advance—no, there’s no need to send $50 to my PayPal account for the answer. I promise it’s not a ransom! Now, where were we?

Ah, yes, the solution! Drumroll, please… I present to you two surprises. The first is an opportunity to delve deeper into the realm of Bimini by reading another exciting blog post. Follow this link to discover “Bimini: A Paradise Just Off the Coast of Miami.”
